The summer solstice marks the exact time when the sun is the furthest away from the equator, making it the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.

The summer solstice has a profound significance for humanity in many areas, including the growing of food. It is believed that ancient stone structures were built around the Sun at solstice that holds many mysteries and secrets.

To examine the astrological influences during the summer solstice, one approach is to identify or define why there is such a profound effect. If you think of a pendulum or a swing as a dynamic image and compare it to what happens in the heavens, it helps to begin to understand the major influences at this time of year with the Sun.

When the pendulum or swing goes through the tangent of midpoint, we reach the greatest velocity, and the dynamic forces of movement are the highest. In physical terms we have the highest potential for change. When the pendulum comes to the maximum range or furthest point in its travel, it comes to a standstill in the highest and lowest position in the sky at the time of summer and winter solstice. It is at this time the maximum (summer) or lowest (winter) energy flow is coming to the earth. The effect lasts for about 9-12 days and then the Sun begins its return journey.

The summer solstice can also be looked upon as a type of gateway where we are collecting all of the required energy to embark on our return journey. The astrological aspects the Sun makes during the solstice reflects the energy we take back with us on our return journey

New cycle aspects blends energies, intensifying them and creating a stronger, focalized energy.

While the Venus Sedna new cycle, or conjunction, is exact the day after the solstice, the vibrations of this new beginning can be felt building during the solstice. Venus is the classical dispositor of Libra, and Sedna, the keeper of Divine Feminine frequencies, is the 5D dispositor. This aspect signifies the importance of and need for the qualities of receptivity and acceptance at the heart level to whatever comes, and this affects us all at a personal level.

The Sun forms a resource (60°) with the fixed star Regulus (0° Virgo) and Eris (24º Aries). Regulus marks the location of the heart in the Leo (lion) constellation; it represents our spiritual evolution, allowing us to become sovereign beings and bringing us into wholeness (Virgo). Eris supports this energetic by applying the inner disruptive energy or spark (Aries) to initiate the process.

The steppingstone (90°) aspects the Sun forms can be interpreted individually or as a group. The Part of Fortune, our destined path, at 29° Pisces in the 11 o’clock hour, brings the message that we have infinite capacity to manifest.  When we embark on this process with consciousness, the steppingstones the Sun creates with the Moon (3° Aries) and Jupiter (6° Aries) can lead to conflict or irritation, but will ultimately lead to success through the integration of the two energies. The Moon generates a reflective energy that can stimulate or irritate old hurts or memories, bringing them up for release, ultimately creating the space for more expansive energies to come in.

The Sun forms trines with both Vesta (Pisces) and Saturn (Aquarius), bracketing the Midheaven. Each connection marks the gateway, one on each side and exactly 5° from the midheaven. I saw this as a 5:5 gateway signifying change.  Vesta initiates the fire of devotion that we have to our self and at times we do not need to know how or why but hold unwavering faith and trust that it just is. Saturn is the inner guru, helping us shape how we define ourselves, and provides the framework that creates our social consciousness. In addition, Saturn is retrograde giving us the opportunity to take a deep dive of introspection of our social structure. The Aquarius energy reminds us to love ourselves as unconditionally as Source does.

Pluto forms a great eliminator with the Sun, reminding us that we are in a transformational process, of death or release of old beliefs, and the (re)birth of new truths and understandings. The Lightbridge between the Sun and Ixion supplies the blueprint of our crystalline expression required for the rebirthing process.

The aspects the Sun forms for this year’s summer solstice can be seen as a roadmap with gateways marking the entrance into a brand-new world. It is difficult to see beyond the gateway and we must walk through it to get to the other side. All the tools we need to navigate the journey are there and come into our awareness precisely when we need them.

Happy solstice!

Sun 00° Libra 00°

Fall Equinox is an annual occurrence. This liminal event is the astrological start of the fall season in the Northern Hemisphere and of the spring season in the Southern Hemisphere; it is where the night and day are equal in length.

In my summer solstice report I used the analogy of a gateway where we are collecting all of the required energy to embark on our return journey to source. Using the same analogy, we now find ourselves at the midpoint of the journey. Looking just a bit further down the road of our journey we can see alternate paths, or a potential shortcut in the form of a wormhole, often referenced by Stephanie Azaria as a sideways elevator. Sideway elevators are unpredictable, and regardless of the experiences we have while inside, we will always find ourselves closer to our desired goal upon exit. Again, the aspects the Sun makes not only refine the energy we take back with us on our return journey, but it also offers a source of light should we take a path exploring shadows of our past as we transcend old wounds.

The balance point of the Fall Equinox creates a brief still-point allowing us to recalibrate and prepare for the next leg of the journey, which is sure to have many twists and turns that we are likely not expecting.

When we look directly at the Sun there is an exact conjunction with a retrograding Mercury in the sign of Libra. Mercury relates to our capacity to think, to use our intelligence, to communicate and to connect with the outer world. The retrograde action of Mercury reinforces this remembrance. As the world around us spirals into a state of chaos it is critical for us to activate our brains, to think for ourselves, allowing us to sidestep situations that seemingly come out of nowhere to throw us off our path.

When we look just a bit further, the Sun makes a conjunction to MakeMake, which is balanced by a connection to Venus in the opposite direction. These conjunctions on either side of the Sun remind us that we must adhere to universal law as well as connect to our heart as we journey. If we fail to abide by these tenants our journey will take us on a much longer arduous path.

The Sun forms a solid steppingstone (square) with Ixion in the sign of Capricorn. Ixion provides the 5D blueprint of our crystalline expression while within the highest connection to source (Capricorn), creating the perfect energy cocktail to take us to the new 5D earth.

The energies of this potent time are tempered by a manifestation (or trine) with Chariklo, which brings stability in the sign of Aquarius reminding us to love ourselves as unconditionally as Source does. Another manifestation with Sedna provides with us with the remembrance of the Divine Feminine. All we have to do is learn to trust ourselves and we have all that we need to complete a very challenging and rewarding journey.

The Sun forms a powerful bridge with Jupiter, reminding us to leave wiggle room in our thoughts, allowing us to explore new ideas or concepts from the opposite vantage point, revealing things we would have never realized without a different perspective.

Another powerful aspect of the Fall Equinox is a great eliminator aspect (or inconjunct) between the Moon (Leo-Fire) and Pluto (Capricorn-Earth). Our divine power (Capricorn) can only be activated by Love (Leo). Regardless of the circumstances we may encounter on our journey, the only thing we need to remember is that our divine power can only be activated by Love. The Moon will facilitate our connection to our emotional body while Pluto has the power to lift us from what may appear to be certain demise and deliver us to a higher state of consciousness.

Happy Fall Equinox!

Spring Equinox 2022

Sun 00 Aries 00

11:34 EDT, 8:34am PDT, 4:34pm GT

The Spring Equinox, also known as the Vernal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, is a day in which the sun sits directly over the celestial equator, resulting in equal length of day and night all over the world. In the Northern Hemisphere, it is the first day of spring. In the Southern Hemisphere, it is known as the Autumnal Equinox and signals the beginning of fall.

The Spring Equinox marks the astrological transition of the Sun moving from the sign of Pisces into the sign of Aries. In Cosmic Consciousness the shift moves us from the spiritual quadrant of Divine Mastery of your higher self into the mental quadrant of Conscious discipline of choosing your thoughts and inner dialogue.

In Cosmic Consciousness the sign of Pisces is known as the “unified realm” and an excellent metaphor is to visualize an infinite ocean. The water in the ocean is what binds us but the qualities of the ocean is what defines humanity and includes: unconditional love, unity consciousness (we are all connected yet we have individually), Christ consciousness (the presence of the frequency of awakened love - spiritual wisdom), and the awareness of oneness beyond time and space. When we are in the infinite ocean there are no boundaries, no borders and no limits, only the unified realm of unity consciousness.

The sign of Aries is where we realize the power of the mind and where we create our individuality of our consciousness. Every person has unique experiences or how they view a shared experience. No two people have the exact same experiences or even view experiences the same. We are just like snowflakes, unique yet generally the same. Although we are united, that is our consciousness is united, it is the experiences we create that generates our uniqueness.

When we are in the sign of Pisces, we are experiencing the vast ocean of opportunities or possibilities. We are on a journey and sometimes if we don’t have a map we could be floating around aimlessly. Astrological Aspects can be viewed as markers or in the case of the sun a guiding light not unlike a lighthouse. When we are ready to shift from the sign of Pisces into the sign of Aries, the sun shows us a pathway to begin creating the opportunities we experienced while in the Piscean ocean. We can view astrological aspects as reminders of natural or universal law that will assist us along the journey.

The predominant Sun aspect on the spring equinox is a Great Eliminator with Haumea and the Moon at 29° Libra. Great Eliminators highlight or bring to light: psychological challenges, unconscious patterns of scattered energies, incomplete tasks requiring adjustment or compromise, bridging from childhood or past lives. The Great Eliminator aspect represents the fork in the road that offers the choice between Love or Fear. The conscious choice point is to take the high road, the one that leads to Love instead of fear. Haumea represents the experience of wholeness that can only be accessed with higher consciousness, oneness and unity. Haumea also assists in manifesting the physical into being with the help of Spirit (fire – Sun in Aires) and emotion/heart (water- Moon). The springtime of year is the opportunity for both physical and non-physical to take root and begin to grow.

Everything that we need to grow the unity consciousness is in place serendipitously at this spring equinox.
