Here we are at the last day of a very unsettled year. I personally have never been so glad to welcome a new year. It’s been a rough ride for so many, but that is truly over now. The world will continue to split at its seams, because it has to, if a new world is going to be born, but we have a grip now that we never had before. We learned it by riding out the rough waves of 2013. 2014 begins with a New Moon that is joined by Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn. This is rare and it promises the new beginning we are all hoping for.

This final day of the year is marked by a mostly void Sagittarius Moon, which enters Capricorn at 1:02pm EST. Inside that expansive void (because it is ruled by Jupiter), Mercury and Pluto come together to set off the huge Capricorn stellium/ New Moon. There will be 8 conjunctions in all by the 2nd of January, all around 11/12 Capricorn. Each time any of these planets come together a new part of the sovereign self is reborn. That this New Moon is conjunct Pluto on New Year’s Day promises to bring a rebirth and in many cases a resurrection this year.

Mercury conjunct Pluto in many ways defines the entire stellium and the New Year. It symbolizes our new way of thinking. Mercury is still out of bounds, and this new consciousness should be apparent to all of us with eyes to see. Mercury is very active today (albeit inside a void Moon), and he squares Mars at 10am EST, bringing fully into view the Cardinal T-Square that is ongoing at this time. Mercury/Mars represents the new balance between Mind and Body. New consciousness around the divine vessel that is our physicality.

Or to be more mundane, a new way of thinking around the tangible, material things in our lives, including our bodies. This gives me the perfect segue into the exchange raise I have decided to undertake. I know there are very many of you who understand what I am doing and don’t require any explanation. For those of you who are wondering, the reason I have decided to nearly double all my rates, practically across the board is because I have spent two years learning the importance of nurturing my Self, and it is time to walk the talk.

I work very hard on a daily basis and I have felt for a long time that the energy exchange isn’t sustaining me. I learned, while I was very sick, that I am worth so much more than I have been believing. It isn’t easy, but doubling my rates is my way of expressing to the world that I am worth at least twice what I thought I was. If I don’t believe it who will.

I know I may lose some of you who may feel I am being mercenary, but believe me, that is the last thing I am. If you have to go, I wish you a joyful new Year and a happy life. I understand why you don’t think I’m worth it, that is my own very long term reflection. But now I know I am worth it. No one does what I do, the way I do it. I hope you will stay with me, because you know that I offer what I offer straight from the heart.

I could say so much more, but words somehow never really capture the essence of a heartfelt shift. As I mentioned yesterday, spirituality is the most precious commodity on the planet, and it should not be free. The guidance I offer was not attained freely, it was a long hard road.

So stay with me and I promise to keep bringing you more and more of what you come for every morning and every week. I am about to completely overhaul the website, and bring it into the new century. Happy New year to all of my faithful readers. Words fail to express how much I appreciate and Love each and every one of you.

That is a small example of my new thinking for 2014. Here is Ellias Lonsdale’s meditation for today’s Mercury Pluto conjunction at 12 Capricorn, reprinted with the author’s permission from his book Star Sparks:

Capricorn 12: A beautiful erotic fat woman eating chocolates.

”She sees herself doing once again that singular motion which makes her keep being the way she’s always been. She watches in rapt fascination as she cannot resist repeating the very thing she knows is holding her back. And she dreams into this ritual enactment from every angle she can take. For she is indeed the subject and the object, the one to learn from and the one who observes so sharply.

She knows on the one hand that she is beautiful, that she is consummately herself, that she is capable of the fullest expression of everything in her. This side of it makes her feel enraptured with herself. She just ripples with the wonder of what is possible through her.

Yet she also is aware that something about the way she does this is more of a karmic automatic reflex, more of a conditioned reprise than a creative act. Something in her has grown disinterested, tuned out, almost not showing up for this life at all.

Between the wise witness and the not-really-there participant in the ritual drama of life, what comes is a consciousness that is bright and full and rich and true and a life pattern on the outside that barely reflects this mode of consciousness and rather seems to be almost the antithesis of the life wisdom carried on the inside. And so there comes ample room for assuming that there is something terribly wrong with this picture.

However, it is not so straightforward as that. Quite often the one who goes out there and makes a fool of themselves needs to be sufficiently swept away with themselves to make the entire context. It might be best to enjoy the spectacle and to appreciate all sides, all facets, with humor and compassion.”

“Creativity is… seeing something that doesn’t exist already. You need to find out how you can bring it into being and that way be a playmate with God.”

– Michele Shea
