The Leo Moon will be void for most of the day, beginning at 3:53am EST, after squaring Saturn, and entering Virgo tonight at 8:25pm. There are no aspects whatsoever before the void or after the Moon moves into Virgo tonight. It’s a ‘clean’ void Moon (I made that up). What I mean is, it’s a day that features the void and nothing but the void. So let’s talk about the void Moon and what it REALLY means:

Back when we lived entirely in the 3D world (not so long ago), the void Moon was seen as a time when “doing” anything was frowned upon. The Moon was (very erroneously, if you ask me) considered the main mechanism for ‘action’, so that when it was void, meaning not making any more major aspects to any planets before leaving the sign it was in, it was considered wasted effort and futile to try and make anything happen. It was said that anything undertaken inside a void Moon would amount to nothing.

Of course, TRYING to make something happen is always going to result in a not so successful ending, because here in the new 5D world, it is far more acceptable to allow your vision to manifest, by letting what happens happen, and not trying to make things otherwise. If you look at it this way, the void Moon becomes a very powerful time to allow your manifestations to flower.

As I mentioned, the Moon goes void after she makes her last MAJOR aspect to any of the planets before she moves into another sign. When the Moon squares Saturn this morning, she will not make any other major aspects all day. Most of you know, but for those of you who don’t, a major aspect is a conjunction, a sextile, a square, a trine or a polarity (formerly opposition). There are some who consider an inconjunct a major aspect, and I have spent years at a time believing that too. But I’ve come to the conclusion that an inconjunct only SEEMs major at this time because we are at such a major crossroad in our evolutionary journey, and an inconjunct is all about the eliminating of the old path in favor of the new.

In the end, it doesn’t matter much if you ascribe to the belief that it is major or that it is not, because astrology is so dynamic it can accommodate anything. It is very rare for an inconjunct to occur inside a void, and it is possible to look at it consciously (or I should say experience it consciously and then decide which belief you ascribe to. Fortunately, such an event is occurring today. The Moon forms an inconjunct with the Sun at 5:57pm this evening. If the inconjunct aspect is major, many will not feel the void at all till 6pm tonight.

So you decide, and please let me know… is the Moon void all day today, or just this evening?

And back to the point of this column today: what is a void Moon? When the Moon is void (and you are coming from a 5D perspective), it is time to go within and come directly from the heart, and it is easier than usual to do so. When we come from the heart, we are naturally allowing our lives to unfold, and in doing so we manifest our visions so much more swiftly.

So a void Moon experienced with the new consciousness is the perfect time for healing and inner communion, which in turn helps significantly to allow for the manifestation of our world. We have been manifesting our world all along, but we have been doing so without being conscious of that fact. Much of our belief process has been fear based for so many centuries, that we have created this imperfect version of the world, the one that is now falling apart.

Why do you think it is falling apart? No not because it is not perfect. What is perfect? The world we created is falling apart because we have ceased to focus on it in the way we once did. Our focus has shifted successfully to a higher version of our Selves, and for this reason we are creating a new world. . . and the old one must fall away.

Sit inside this void Moon today, and while Mercury forms an intimate semisextile with Pluto (after the conscious parallel between these two Thursday morning), whatever new thoughts have begun to take hold in your consciousness can begin to blossom now, because you have allowed your Self the experience enough to begin to understand it.

This is the Sun’s last day in Capricorn, and the Sun is disposing the Moon while it is in Leo. (Leo is ruled by the Sun). Mastery and a very powerful, conscious understanding of where you are and how far you’ve come is possible now, if you will allow the realization to rise up within you.

“By letting it go it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go. But when you try and try. The world is beyond the winning.”
