A giant Grand Air trine defines this day, involving the Sun, the Moon and Mars. That should produce plenty of energy at the social level, or if you’re working on some form of communication, written or otherwise, this is the day to go for it. There are no aspects all day except the two trines from the Moon to the Sun and Mars, save for a Great Eliminator between the Moon and Saturn somewhere in between the two trines.

I remember being taught when I was first studying astrology that a Grand Trine may generate an easy flowing energy, but that it was all too easy to get lazy or too laid back, just when you need the most talent or skill, or in this case, energy. Somehow I don’t think that’s going to be a problem with that Saturn aspect thrown in. If nothing else, the Inner Guru will keep us on track. Authenticity at the most personal level seems to be what this set of planetary connections evokes.

It’s important to remember that there’s a Full Moon coming up on Friday, which means the Sun (and the Moon) are moving into that blossoming of the Aquarius New Moon chapter with every connection they make this week – and there are quite of few important meetings coming up. The Sun will square Saturn on Tuesday, producing a critical (read: important) turning point with regard to that authenticity that comes up today.

Mercury backs into Aquarius and connects with the Sun just after the Full Moon, which means Mercury is busily taking us to that point where the entire retrograde journey begins to make sense. The Full Moon on Friday will be reflecting that impending meeting between Mercury and the Sun, and though Mercury is retrograde, I think it’s safe to say that this time around the meaning of moving backwards over recent communications and connections is far more profound than ever before. What used to be a difficult resistance process is now a major learning ground.

Mercury will square Saturn next week, and this too is related to the Sun Saturn square, the full Moon and Mercury’s retrograde. It all seems to be about moving fully into the higher Mind, and not so much about the drama any more. It’s about trusting that everything is all right no matter what the drama appears to be, and in holding one’s own, awakening to the Truth.

The week ahead is full of squares and T-squares, and polarities that give us access to bridges we haven’t crossed before, but today’s Grand Air trine opens up vistas (on the inner plane) that have not been seen before. The Moon goes void after trining Mars at 4:09pm EST for the rest of the day, with absolutely no planetary connections at all before the Moon enters Cancer tomorrow morning at 1:34am.

That will leave us with plenty of space to ruminate over any new horizons that show up for us today. Here’s the thing though: Do your best to wait for them to appear, and check and double check your inner thoughts to be certain you’re not projecting a preconceived version of your future onto the movie screen. There’s never been a more important moment to allow the world you’ve created to emerge without messing with it from a more limited perspective.

“If you listen closely you’ll hear a small voice hidden in the dim shade of all your fears that whispers, ‘this isn’t real.’”
