This week we have a New Moon in Aquarius, a Chinese New Year, Venus ends her retrograde and meets up with Pluto and and Mercury leave Aquarius and moves into Pisces. The end of the month is full of more shifts and changes and as Venus begins to move forward, she passes the baton to Mercury who prepares to go retrograde next week. It’s a week for us to dance light on our feet to the cosmic music, discovering the magnificence of our authentic self and learning to live it.
Monday the 27th
The optimistic Sagittarius Moon will Sextile Mars before lunch and sextile Mercury before dinner, bringing a light mix of energy to start our week with. Playful and adventurous actions are followed up by expansive, open-minded communications. It’s a great day for meetings that could use an inspirational infusion. From 5 PM until midnight, the moon will go Void of Course and it’s a good time to take it easy and slow down a bit before the week takes off. Just after midnight tonight, the moon moves into more grounded, pragmatic Capricorn and sets a more serious tone for tomorrow, when we can connect with our inner authority and figure out how to implement some of our fresh ideas.
Tuesday the 28th
We awaken to a Capricorn Moon that sextiles Neptune around sunrise, adding a cooperative energetic to structures we are working to manifest from our vast imaginations. Capricorn loves a plan! Starting around 3 PM, the energy shifts when the Moon begins her connections to Uranus, Pluto, Jupiter and Venus succinctly churning through the rest of our Tuesday. There are plenty of opportunities (if we pay attention) for rebellion, deep change and intensifying extremes, but the Moon’s sweet union with Venus at 9:57 PM caps the day off with an opportunity for love in it’s highest form.
Wednesday the 29th
The Day begins with the Sun and Moon making cooperative, harmonious connections to Uranus and Saturn before 11:43 AM. Get up early and utilize this time to implement some unconventional strategies and get something off the ground. The Moon goes VOC (Void of Course) at 11:47 AM for almost 12 hours. This is a good time to collect yourself and tie up loose ends that can help on an organizational level. At 11:33 PM the Void ends when the Moon moves into Aquarius and can feel our need for independence and ingenuity begin to take off.
Thursday the 30th
While we are sleeping, the Aquarius Moon sextiles Uranus, stimulating progressive thinking and “out of the box” ideas that could make for some fun dream time and breakfast conversation. The Planet Uranus is a ruler of Aquarius and this entire day is about inner inspiration and awakening! The big event of the day is the New Moon in Aquarius at 4:39 PM.
New Moons are always about new beginnings and planting seeds. Since the last Full Moon in emotional Cancer, we have had a change to see what purpose our past relationships have served with Venus retrograde in Capricorn. This New Moon in Aquarius brings a more objective “hawk’s view” perspective, allowing us to see where we can go next. It’s leading us into the Chinese New Year and a strong energy shift that is more exuberant and less emotionally sensitive.
If you have found yourself in any kind of rut, this is break out energy! It’s a great day to make a list of your visions. Ask yourself what direction you want to take… how can you bring a fresh approach to your current path. Where do you want to go?
Friday the 31st
This is a day of profound shifts! We have the 2nd of three powerful Pluto/Jupiter oppositions at 4:16 AM and they form a T-Square with Uranus. Again, there is a caution sign to refrain from extreme reactions and domineering opinions. This is all part of the Cardinal Cross we are experiencing in 2014. These frequencies are providing stepping stones for great change, so trying to hold on to the way things have been is no longer a viable option. Mercury leaves
Aquarius and moves into intuitive Pisces. Our communications and our mental processes will be dancing back and forth between these two very different energies between now and April because Mercury will be going retrograde on the 6th. I happen to be very fond of the bridge between inventive, quirky Aquarius and psychic, nebulous Pisces. Be prepared for far-reaching thoughts and highly creative conversations.
Venus is turning direct this afternoon and we coming to the end of a huge review of our relationships and matters of the heart. She will need about 2 weeks to leave her retrograde shadow and then we are off and running. Venus (heart) is leading the way for Mercury (Mind) in a total reconnection that will fuel our new vision and experience of the world. At 10:45 PM the Moon enters Pisces and then hooks up with Mercury before midnight. The Pisces vibe softens the intensity of this day and can make for a marvelous night of dreams.
Wait… there’s more 🙂 This is the Chinese New year of the Wood Horse. I highly recommend this read:http://westernschooloffengshui.com/2014/01/2014woodhorse/ Its a welcomed shift from the past few years.
Saturday the 1st
The dreamy Pisces Moon will conjunct Neptune in the early morning and then Chiron in the late afternoon. Feel free to sleep in and chill out. It’s a lovely day for healing, compassionate gestures, artistic endeavors and journeying out into the limitless field of potential. Starting a little after 6 PM, the Moon will trine Jupiter and sextile Pluto and Venus adding grounded wisdom and a rebirth of what we love into an already yummy day.
Sunday the 2nd
We start this Groundhog Day in extended sweetness from the Pisces Moon and end it with the Moon moving to Aries at 11:55 PM. The Moon trines Saturn and brings us a full day of inner Void of Course energy from 11:34 AM to 11:55 PM, 12 hours of slowdown time. These are the times when simple pleasures truly are the best. Take advantage of a certain flow and ease permeating this Sunday. The Moon enters Aries just before midnight, leaving the deep, calming waters of Pisces for the fire of Aries and we may find it hard to settle down. Let inspiring thoughts carry you to Dreamland and rest up for a packed Monday.
“Never forget that you are one of a kind. Never forget that if there weren’t any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn’t be here in the first place. And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life’s challenges and problems seem to be, that one person can make a difference in the world. In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes that matter in the world come about. So be that one person. ”
