This is as quiet a day as we’re going to see in a while, and it’s probably a good idea to take advantage of it. Whatever you need or want to pay attention to that you’ve been distracted from lately, this is the day for that stuff. It’s a day when only five lunar aspects occur at all, and two of those ore subtle (formerly minor). The three major lunar aspects are all beautiful. The Moon sextiles Saturn, and since the Moon is in Capricorn, this is a connection that makes it easy to access our own sovereignty. This aspect occurs at 6am EST, and so it colors the day with its stable, self-possessed energies.

At 8:30am EST, the Moon opposes Jupiter. I am certain you have heard me say many times that there is no such thing as a “bad” Jupiter aspect. A polarity from Jupiter should open us up to the broader range of possibilities that are available. The Capricorn Moon can keep us riveted to what we see as responsibilities, but there are always bigger, more magnificent ways to do things. This aspect becomes exact at 8:31am this morning and remains energetically undiluted and intact, uninterrupted by any other aspect, large or small, until 4:47pm when the Moon conjoins with Venus.

Obviously a Moon Venus conjunction is a beautiful thing. Look up in the sky tonight and you will see it just after sunset. What a beautiful physical expression of a most exquisite emotional presence. THIS particular Moon Venus conjunction is especially significant because Venus is preparing to go retrograde. The Moon comes around and connects with Venus once a month. Venus’s retrograde insures that these two rulers of the divine feminine will come together in Capricorn for the next 3 months, and each of them will be a part of the Venus retrograde journey.

Pay attention to those places in your life where the need for surrender or nurturing becomes apparent. These themes will be with you for months to come. Additionally, this is Venus’s last day traveling out of bounds after more than a month WAY outside the ecliptic. That means that tomorrow she returns to the more usual realm of our consciousness, only she is now imbued with much super conscious energy.

IF WE CAN ALLOW IT, our hearts can be infused with the new consciousness she has connected with outside the ecliptic. Venus has been front and center for months now, and it seems she is only just beginning. It is no coincidence that she is in Capricorn, Saturn’s sign. Venus kicked off that cauldron last September 21 when she connected with Saturn and the North Node in Scorpio. Now, still connected powerfully with Saturn, she will retrograde on the Winter Solstice, and remain in Capricorn till the Spring.

Venus Saturn connections are all about learning to value our Selves properly. With a newly supersized heart, we can do amazing things. That is our purpose now… to do the most conscious, loving things we can possibly do… beginning with our Selves.

Put your Self first today. Whatever you’re inclined to do for another, do it for you first and see what happens.

“Each of us has been put on earth with the ability to do something well. We cheat ourselves and the world if we don’t use that ability as best we can.”

— George Allen, Sr.
